“Liberation is a praxis : the action and reflection of men and women upon their world in order to transform it.” ― Paulo Freire
When we dreamscape, we go beyond what we already know and into the possibility of what might be. Education design highlights the possible and allows us to sculpt it into existence.
Every generation eventually grapples with the shackles of the past, attempts to assert their power, and struggles to define and shape the society that they live in.
Democracy demands an informed citizenry
Our lives are fractured realities. There is the reality of our existence, of being. And then there is the reality of our society that we have constructed.
When I write about Dreamscaping education, I am writing about the need for dialogue. Dialogue is an integral part of Dreamscaping. In order to Dreamscape education, we need to have a conversation about what we want education to be, what learning is, and how we can work together to bring about this new and inclusive vision.
Dreamscaping, like teaching, is a collective endeavor. And when we come together, even we can’t imagine the possibilities.
